The Vault Celebrates Bassets Best Kept Secret
Written by Kate Dulac
The Hub Basset is a new apartment being built just across the street from Basset Street Brunch Club. It is already leasing for the 2026 school year and stirring up excitement and chatter within the UW-Madison student community. Hub Basset has been rapidly gaining the attention of students through their genius marketing and luxurious amenities offered within the facility. Potential residents receive trendy sweatshirts and pilates socks, all monogrammed with the Hub Basset logo. The apartment includes a pilates studio, pool, steam room, sauna, and cold plunge just to name a few. Hub Basset teamed up with The Vault to celebrate the soon to be opening of the apartment. The well-known breakfast spot, Basset Street Brunch Club, turned into a classy lounge for the night, with custom cocktails and curated bites. Members of The Vault and soon to be residents showed up excited to meet each other and experience Basset Street Brunch Club in the night.
Upon entering, guests were greeted by friendly faces checking people in at the door. Walking in, one could see that the famous breakfast spot was transformed into a classy night club. The long diner-style table converted into a bar, with extravagant drinks being served left and right. Many attendees opted for espresso martinis and aperol spritzees. The food was overflowing and covered almost every palette and craving one could experience. Every flavor of donut imaginable, from classic Boston cream to glazed bacon. Sloppy Joe sliders and cheese curds served as a traditional Midwest dish, along with deviled eggs and cherry pie spring rolls. It's hard not to have a good time when these are the food and drink options.
The vibe of the event was Gatsby-esque. Attendees sported silk dresses, with fur coats and leather boots. Light music played in the background for ambience and each table was decorated to perfection. Packs of cards, all custom labeled with the Hub Basset x Vault logo and a cute cherry graphic were strewn across tables, allowing for fun games and conversation. Along with vintage candle holders and hand fans, matching the roaring 20s theme.
A theme is vital to the success of an event like this. It advertises the corporation hosting it and gives the guests a taste of what the company stands for. The Hub Basset did an excellent job with this. Although they do not yet have a completed apartment to show future residents, they carry themselves with pride in their brand and a clear statement of what they stand for. The Hub Basset is all about class and incorporating vintage accents and decor in fun, modern ways. This can be seen through their website as well. Photos of the amenities show the pool, with colorful striped walls, giving it a 70s vibe along with a gas lit fireplace and sleek poolside chairs, bringing in the modern accents. Basset’s best kept secret represented this well and the attention to detail made future residents excited to see what the company does with the completed apartment.
The Vault was a good partnership for this event, with attention to trends and design being a huge part of the club. Members appreciated the effort put into the decor and food and drink choices. Overall the event was a success, allowing guests to mingle and enjoy the ambience of Bassets best kept secret.
